Business Financial Planning
Your success depends on your ability to finance your network from the beginning. Any project must be able to prove that it saves money or makes money to qualify for financing. Aggregate Networks has written dozens of successful business financial plans, integrating every cost, service, and potential revenue source into a credit-oriented document, specifically for fiber optic & wireless networks.
Financial Placement
Through a combination of qualified investment sources of private and institutional lenders and established relationships, we provide financing to best fit your situation. We prepare and present your project to a variety of alternative, proven, cost effective public and/or private financing sources who understand broadband communication networks. Our relationships allow us to move quickly and effectively, getting your transaction done right, on time, and on or under budget.
Financing Alternatives
Municipal Leases
Aggregate Networks has worked on municipal/public utilities financing structure by taking a "fresh-look" at the way broadband and FTTP deals get funded. Aggregate's expertise and knowledge of how to package, present and procure the right type of financing is unique to every deal. The result is that if there's a way to do it, we'll get it done. Various samples of financing vehicles include:
- Municipal Lease (lease purchase contract)
- Installment Lease
- Revenue Installment Contracts
- Non-Refurendum
- Revenue bonds
- Certificates of Participation (C.O.P)
Advantages of leasing over issuing bonds are:
- Fast turnaround
- Greater flexibility in structure and terms.
- Preserves or frees-up capital (up to 100% lease).
- Less expensive no syndication underwriting fees, very low upfront cost, easy to execute.
- Implemented over time in phases with construction minimizing year one costs.
- No voter referendum is typically required.
- Not a general obligation (in almost all states).
- Tax-exempt rates comparable to bond offerings.
- Certificates of Participation (COPs) offer the best characteristics of a lease
with added security for lenders.
Federal Loans and Grants
Billions of dollars were recently made available to help finance build the Broadband infrastructure throughout rural & underserved areas across the U.S.
There are many Federal and State programs to encourage broadband deployment through low-cost loans and grants. Rural and/or underserved areas may qualify under the Rural Utilities Service (RUS), the National Telecommunications Information Administration (NTIA), or several others for the entire project and money is available for many projects that involve tele-medicine and distance learning. We identify, package, assist and guide your application through the process directly with the decision makers in Washington DC utilizing the backgrounds of our advisors.
Equity, Private Investment & Venture Capita
Where appropriate, we bring in private investors, real estate investors, equity funds, and combination debt/equity institutions to finance projects that are otherwise difficult to get going with just debt. We also have extensive relationships with Venture Capital firms.
